Missak Manouchian, a communist resistance fighter who was shot in 1944, has just entered the Pantheon this week. So, it is quite natural that this prestigious Parisian monument has decided to dedicate an exceptional exhibition to him, to be discovered until September 8, 2024!
And for the occasion, this weekend, the Pantheon invites you to discover this exhibition paying tribute to one of the most emblematic figures of the Resistance, without spending a single cent! See you from February 23 to 25 to discover “Living to death. Missak Manouchian and his Resistance comrades at the Pantheon” and immerse you in this moving page of History.
Located in the crypt of the Pantheon, the exhibition is located near the vault where Missak Manouchian and his wife Mélinée Manouchian will rest. The latter also played a vital role in the Resistance through its commitment. The exhibition offers a rich and thrilling journey, through various photographs, archival reproductions, original documents but also handwritten notebooks and letters rich in emotion, addressed to loved ones.
