Liminal Objects, a contemporary critical fashion: the latest exhibition of Bicolore at the House of Denmark
Discover Liminal Objects, a contemporary critical fashion: the latest bicolore exhibition at the Maison du Denmark.
Cellophane dresses, tights and ties, silver platter bustiers and pajama looks... Their visionary creations have already toured the fashion world. Although they are used to proving themselves on the catwalks, these eight designers from the Nordic countries invite us to leave the catwalks temporarily for the Bicolore stage at the House of Denmark. Head to the most beautiful avenue in the world to continue the creative excitement of Fashion Week with the vintage pieces of Petra Fagerström, the ultra-feminine cuts of Cassie Augusta Jørgensen, the sculptural compositions of Ida-Simone Brerup and the futuristic patchwork silhouettes by Kristine Sehested-Blad.
Halfway between art, craftsmanship, design and fashion, this daring exhibition plunges us into the wardrobe of inspiring and inspired designers: here we follow the agile mind of Louise Lyngh Bjerregaard, capable of designing a collection only from fabric scraps, we salute the originality of Ellen Hodakova's recycled pieces, before letting ourselves be seduced by Jenny Hytönen's ecstatic Madonnas which are reminiscent of the iconic dressing room of a certain Madonna... With her inflatable latex body capsules, Fredrik Tjærandsen reminds us of an essential thing: if it is a laboratory of trends, fashion is above all a playground for those who dare to venture into it.
