Christine Houssay causes a sensation in the Somebody exhibition at Espace35 in Paris

Somebody or the body in all its states... This gentle collective exhibition, crossed by the deliciously immodest works of virtuoso contemporary artists, signs a lovely ode to nature by celebrating the beauty and diversity of our fleshly envelope . Whether young, voluptuous, deformed or generous, the body can be discerned here in the curves of sensual compositions, gradually revealing itself in a ballet of infinitely delicate works. The poetic nude caresses the erotic vintage, the drawing embraces the painting, when suddenly the body acquires a new dimension with the sensitive work of Christine Houssay. Under her magician fingers, the pattern disintegrates, the soft flesh of the wood giving way to its abstract rounded shapes. By attacking the material head-on, the sculptor engages in a captivating hand-to-hand combat with the material, evoking here and there the practice of Giuseppe Penone. The artist tells us a story. Should we see in this Seated pear tree the curves of a languid woman or in these two tree branches a couple embracing? Hard to say. The visual artist leaves us the sole judge of this encounter with a living being, inviting us to give free rein to our imagination...
