Unpublished! The Korean Cultural Center is organizing a breaking battle at the Théâtre du Châtelet

Like every year, KOFICE organizes the Korea season and this time, in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center, bodily expression and street dance are in the spotlight. Formerly called "hip-hop dance" or "breakdance", breaking, which comes to us from the United States, is today one of the disciplines planned for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It is in this particular context that the Cultural Center Korean is organizing, on Thursday May 2, a unique event, the “Urban Pulse Uprising”, an exceptional battle between two legendary breaking teams.
On the program, choreography workshops, a big old street dance and breaking evening and above all, a friendly breaking battle in the presence of a DJ, in the large room of the Théâtre du Châtelet. It will pit the members of the Lyon collective Pockemon Crew, a pioneer of breaking in France, against each other, and the dancers from 1MILLION, a Korean studio known for its appearance on the show Street Woman Fighter. This fast-paced meeting is the ideal opportunity to introduce you to all the dynamism and energy of breaking, while offering you a show that you will not soon forget.
Around the event, it is also possible to participate in dance workshops organized by the Korean studio 1Million, on Monday April 29 and Friday May 3, 2024, at the Korea House (University City). Registration fees are €35 per person per workshop.
