Free concerts at Cité de l’Architecture for the Fête de la Musique!

It's a first. The City of Architecture and Heritage opens this year at the Fête de la Musique with a melodious and cultural program from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 21. This iconic venue, dedicated to the celebration and preservation of architectural heritage, provides an ideal stage for an evening where music resonates with architecture.
For this first participation, two ensembles from the Jeunes Talents association will perform in the heart of the Mouldings Gallery. The evening will begin with the Gaman Ensemble, a saxophone quartet, who will reinterpret pop classics such as Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and The Beatles' "Yesterday", as well as iconic pieces like Carlos Gardel's "Por una cabeza" and “The Girl from Ipanema” by Antônio Carlos Jobim. These saxophone arrangements will offer a new dimension to these familiar melodies, captivating listeners with their creativity and virtuosity.
Then singer Nina Spinosi, accompanied by guitarist Odée Mertzweiller, will offer a musical journey across the Mediterranean. The audience will be transported by compositions by Fernando Obradors, Vincenzo Bellini and other musical masters, evoking sunny landscapes and summer atmospheres.
This unique evening is also a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover the permanent collections of the Cité de l'architecture, accessible free of charge during the event. Visitors will be able to stroll between the casts of architectural masterpieces while letting themselves be lulled by the music.
