The Montmartre Harvest Festival is back for its 91st edition!
Harvest Festival
From October 9 to 13, 2024
Montmartre comes alive with the 91th edition of the Fête des Vendanges, transforming the neighborhood into a playground for the imagination. From October 9 to 13, 2024, the mound is transformed to celebrate Bacchus and his harvest. Nighttime marathon, wild dance floor, open-air shows, it’s time to party.
On October 10, the famous harvest night race will have us running in the light of fluorescent lamps through the cobbled streets of Montmartre, creating a luminous mirage to the summit of Mont des Rêves on a 5km course. This race, open to everyone, marathon runners and beginners alike, promises a unique visual spectacle, in a fair-play and festive atmosphere.
On Friday October 11, the Compagnie Group Berthe offers us a participatory dance show on the Esplanade Nathalie Sarraute. Here, everyone can transform themselves into a real stage star, inspired by icons such as Madonna or Beyoncé, in an unbridled musical universe.
On Saturday October 12, Yohan Durand invites us on a poetic journey with his show "It's stupid but it sticks to the skin" at the Jardin Jane Vialle. In an effervescent choreographic performance, the dancer and diabolist leads us into a dance where the object and the artist become one, reflecting the vagaries of life with a moving intensity.
But this Harvest Festival would not be as legendary without its highly anticipated Harvest Ball, which will take place on Saturday evening. DJ Thierry Lecamp will host this evening with an eclectic and rhythmic playlist, promising to make everyone dance under the stars.
Throughout the week, we will be able to admire and participate in a collaborative fresco, led by the artist Cécile Jaillard and the students of the Association des Enfants de la Goutte d’Or. This colorful and fanciful work, inaugurated during the Festival, will remain as a lasting testimony to the collective imagination.
And of course, Montmartre celebrates its wine roots. The Montmartre vintage, harvested from the Clos Montmartre vines, is in the spotlight. This urban vineyard, unique in Paris, produces a wine appreciated for its character and rarity. Each year, the new vintage is the occasion for festivities and tastings, recalling the deep link between Montmartre and wine culture.
Have a nice evening everyone!
