The 9th edition of the Anglet Biennale returns this summer!
Anglet
Until October 19, 2024
It is now an unmissable event on the Atlantic coast. The Anglet Biennale returns for a ninth edition, more daring than ever, inviting us to an unprecedented aesthetic exploration of the coastline. Faithful to its maritime roots, but resolutely turned towards new urban perspectives, this biennial unfolds between the ocean and the beating heart of the city, offering an artistic immersion where contemporary experimentation and heritage heritage intersect. At a place called La Barre, the route opens onto the immensity of the Atlantic, defying the natural elements with ephemeral and monumental works. Kevin Rouillard, with his bold sculptural approach, questions the relationship between matter and space. Its installations, robust and vibrant, stand like modern totems facing the waves, evoking both resistance and erosion. Jennifer Caubet, for her part, transforms the coastline into a scene where metal bends into organic shapes. Its structures, like fragments of utopian architecture, seem to dialogue with the wind and the sea, creating surprising visual and sound resonances. Flora Moscovici's murals seem to arise from the very texture of the surfaces they cover, her colors evolving with atmospheric variations into a palette of vibrant shades. Here the landscape perspectives are masterfully transformed to open up new horizons for us.
