Can art heal? Your turn to judge. Still, Myriam Mihindou has made it her specialty. For more than thirty years, the nomadic artist has been repairing the "blues of the soul", soothing mental disorders and consoling hearts by creating decompression chambers where our bodies wake up, heal and relax. restore through his image. While she is already the subject of carte blanche at Quai Branly, the visual artist now offers her services at the Palais de Tokyo. Author of an uncompromisingly cathartic work, the Franco-Gabonese artist and shaman signs here a contemplative exhibition with therapeutic virtues, questioning our Oedipus complex in a sculptural installation with a universal language or by testing the limits of her body in a performance painful video where she shows herself, her skin covered with needles. Between emblematic pieces and new productions, this exhibition shows us all the sacrifices of Myriam Mihindou who does not hesitate to sculpt, photograph and film her bodily envelope, a catalyst for vivid memories, in creations that are always on edge. A poetic archeology of the body that transcends any trauma, violence or injury.
