Dans le silence de la galerie, des anges tombent et s’élèvent. Les toiles d’Oda Jaune, vastes et énigmatiques, convoquent ici des figures d’une étrange familiarité, mi-humaines, mi-divines. Ses anges ne sont ni porteurs de bénédictions célestes, ni gardiens invisibles. Ils sont des créatures ambivalentes, nées de nos fragilités et de nos désirs, imprégnées de lumière mais toujours ancrées dans la chair.
L’artiste compose une liturgie viscérale, la monumentalité de ses œuvres nous contraignant à lever les yeux, à scruter ces êtres hybrides qui s’étendent et se métamorphosent, composant une poésie charnelle comme le plus grand des champs de bataille.
