Découverte - Ced Vernay, pointillisme en confetti

Oui il y a 130 ans, les peintres travaillaient par touches tellement fines qu’elles en devenaient des points. Aujourd’hui, le pointillisme a laissé place à l’art du pixel, mais finalement c’est toujours le même principe : des milliers de points de couleur qui vus de près ne représentent rien mais dès qu’on s’éloigne l’image apparait. Et il y a un artiste français qui travaille cet art, c’est Ced Vernay. Regardez un peu ses œuvres en confetti, peints un par un puis posés sur la toile à la pince à épiler, jusqu’à ce que le portrait désiré apparaisse. Finalement, toujours le même principe de jeux de regards, apprendre à regarder car les apparences sont parfois trompeuses…

L’artiste a son atelier à Marseille, et vous pourrez le rencontrer la semaine prochaine au Sm’Art d’Aix en Provence, un salon d’art contemporain dédié aux artistes contemporains montants.
