Il faut croire que Ban Avlis devait s’ennuyer dans sa boutique de vêtements du Masschusetts : ce dessinateur de talent réalise d’incroyables illustrations sur papier qui prennent vie juste en dépliant la feuille. Il suffit que l’artiste ouvre une feuille pliée en trois comme une lettre, pour que le dessin d’un vieil homme se transforme par exemple en monstre ou qu’un smiley jaune perde la tête… Assez horrifiques, ses dessins restent pourtant plein d’humour noir, fort appréciable.
