Exhibition I've got a feeling in the city of Angers
Angers Fine Arts Museum, Jean-Lurçat Museum, Art Library
Until January 7, 2024
You hear ? A rumor has been circulating in the city of Angers for a few days, promising you a multisensory experience that is unusual to say the least. Feel a painting? Touch a sculpture? Lying on a woven partition and walking on a keyboard floor? No, you are not dreaming, you will soon be able to achieve all these things that are usually forbidden. Three institutions have joined forces for a terribly immersive season for this visual, olfactory, auditory and gustatory journey around the five senses in contemporary art. At the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Dominique Blais puts your hearing to the test by continuously broadcasting a noise of tinnitus, while a monumental work by Eva Jospin reconnects you to raw materials. At the Jean-Lurçat museum, Cécile Le Talec “monumentalizes” sound, immaterial in essence, and shows what we hear with its forest of cabled wires and its sound and woven architecture, when the Artothèque questions your perceptions in an ever-changing world. That's it, do you feel it?
