Exhibition Hey! Ceramics at the Halle Saint-Pierre
Who said ceramics were old-fashioned? Say goodbye to the falsely old-fashioned and dusty image you have of porcelain, the Halle Saint Pierre reveals to us the underside of its strange cabinet of curiosities made of 250 crazy pieces, surrealist works and ever more spectacular sculptures. It is with undisguised pleasure that we find here the baroque madness of Chris Antemann, the pop imagination of Masao Kinoshita and the poetry of Kim Simonsson who owes his fame to his little green men straight from Nordic legends. Alongside this young oversized elf, we cross paths with the harmonious anthropo-zoomorphic creatures of Crystal Morey, the hairy ceramics of Lidia Kostanek before facing the screaming creations of Kirsten Stingle, a true revelation of this parade of autodidacts.
