Exhibition Games on the water in search of victory at the National Maritime Museum of Brest
NATIONAL MARINE MUSEUM OF BREST
From July 5, 2024 to March 10, 2025
Take to the water following the story of the five nautical disciplines of the Olympiads; sailing, rowing, powerboating, canoeing and surfing. The National Maritime Museum is organizing a retrospective of water games, from 1896 to the present day, which have brought France 300 medals. Nearly 150 pieces are brought together to illustrate the journey of these sports and their athletes. Brest’s maritime excellence is highlighted in this up-to-date exhibition. Brittany boasts, not without pride, the good humus of its land, which has produced real winners. On your boats, set, go!
Did you know?
Surfing only made its entry into the Olympic events during the last edition of the Olympic Games, in 2021 in Tokyo. As you imagine, the event will not be able to take place on the Seine for the obvious reason of non-existent waves. It is therefore in Tahiti that the Surfing Games will take place!
