Effort, the world exhibition at the Gentilly Generator

The Generator

Jacques Perconte transports us to the top of the mountains, where the camera captures with a unique sensuality the dance of the mountaineers, suspended between sky and earth, between there and here. In the darkness of an immense 400m² room transformed into a gigantic porthole, the artist offers us the spectacular projection of a film without beginning or end, which unfolds in a single image 25 meters long. By exploring the tensions between natural beauty and digital artifacts, Perconte redefines the concept of landscape, like a great painter who retouches his painting to embellish the lights, blurring the lines between the visible and the invisible. Through this immersive universe, the Generator becomes the vessel for a sensory journey to be experienced sitting, standing, or walking around.
