The summer season Effervescences at Château du Rivau

A bustling summer season is coming. Forty modern and contemporary artists are the prestigious guests of the Château du Rivau, competing in audacity and creativity in an unprecedented artistic effervescence. Here the still lifes come back to life under the leadership of Michel Blazy while the hum of the garden bees merges with that of David Altmejd's buzz, blurring our bearings in a heady sound frenzy. There, the exuberant works of Sheila Hicks dialogue in an almost surreal way with the creations of Laurie Karp, guided by artificial intelligence. Artists take over places to put our society on acid, stripping away conventions in sparkling works, going from dream to nightmare in an evanescent breath that is already no more.

Did you know?
The Château du Rivau, a medieval and Renaissance jewel, is renowned for its six-hectare park, classified Jardin Remarquable, which houses twenty-two monumental works in a symphony of modern creations set in thematic gardens. From the giant boots of Lilian Bourgeat to the rockery hut of Julien des Monstiers, from the broken carousel of Pierre Ardouvin to the Seven dwarfs by Paul Rouillac, the route offers us a moment of absolute artistic enchantment.
