The Mountaincutters transform the Palais de Tokyo in a fragmented exhibition

9

Dive into the eternalmentunfinished work of mountaincutters. The artist duo transforms the Palais de Tokyo with their composite installationss made of corrupt materials and blackened objects, incomplete sculptures and imperfect ceramics. Traces of a suspended activity, these raw creations are therefore similar to a construction site whose organizationseems to escape common sense. The exhibition, with a chaotic arte povera trend, invites above all contemplation and personal introspection by favoring transitory states and truncated forms. In fact, everything here sounds like an absent body. The sculptures summon more carcasses whose prostheses, extensions and tools are all strategies for adapting to their environments.
