Ville culturelle par excellence, La Haye est la destination idéale pour tous les amoureux d’art : vous retrouverez notamment La jeune fille à la perle de Vermeer et la plus grande collection de Mondrian au monde. Vincent Van Gogh lui-même aimait cette ville et ses nombreux musées exposant Rubens, Rembrandt et les autres grands peintres flamands. Il faut dire que cette cité royale offre des vues à couper le souffle : il suffit de flâner sur son bord de mer, d’admirer ses canaux ou de se balader dans ses quartiers historiques pour tomber sous son charme. Cet hiver et jusqu’en mars 2019, c’est le sculpteur Ossip Zadkine qui est mis à l’honneur. Cet accrochage inédit, qui met en exergue les convictions idéologiques de l’un des artistes les plus influents du siècle passé, résonne d’autant plus fort en cette année de centenaire de l’Armistice de la Première Guerre mondiale. D’origine biélorusse, Zadkine a vécu et exprimé dans son art les deux guerres mondiales ayant changé la face du monde au cours de la première moitié du XXe siècle. À ne pas rater.

The artist gives a face to eighteen forgotten female sculptors, including Käthe Kollwitz, Jane Poupelet and Sarah Bernhardt, through eighteen plaster and bronze busts, ranging from seventy centimeters to three and a half meters in height.
