L’exposition présente 50 œuvres majeures des maîtres de l'impressionnisme et du postimpressionnisme, qui sont issues de la célèbre collection du Guggenheim de New York. Elle met aussi en lumière l’engagement de la famille Thannhauser en faveur des artistes et les collectionneurs.

For the first time since entering the Guggenheim, an important part of the Thannhauser collection is shown outside New York.
