Les photographies de Raymond Depardon sont comme autant de témoignages des époques qu’il a traversées et des personnes qu’il a rencontrées. Si ses œuvres sont aujourd’hui connues dans le monde entier, ses débuts restent aujourd’hui encore confidentiels. L’exposition nous révèle de manière inédite un corpus d’une centaine d’œuvres de jeunesse, semblable au documentaire d’une France en pleine mutation dans les années 1960, alors que l’artiste effectuait son service militaire. Une occasion unique et rêvée d’en savoir plus sur cette période de création méconnue de l’artiste, qui posera pourtant ses fondamentaux artistiques. Des clichés qui le marquèrent à jamais puisque, plus tard, il travailla à la rédaction du magazine des armées Terre Air Mer au sein duquel il réalisa plus de 2000 images de guerre.

The Museum of Children's Illustration in Moulins presents Clic, Photographing to Tell, until January 3, 2027. From costumed rabbits by Jean Tourane to images by Sarah Moon or Tana Hoban, the museum is bringing out its rare books and vintage prints.
The Théâtre du Nord, in Lille, is exhibiting Bérangère Fromont’s République until January 16, 2027. The photographer shows the Place de la République, in Paris, at night, in medium format black and white printed on Japanese washi paper.
