Âmes superstitieuses s’abstenir. Clément Cogitore se fait ici le funèbre prophète de la fin du monde. Une sombre litanie chuchotée se laisse entendre, imperceptiblement ; il s’agit de la bande-son du film The Evil Eye, auréolé du prestigieux Prix Marcel Duchamp en 2018. Élégie poignante empruntant autant aux grands mythes qu’aux méthodes de propagande des foules, l’œuvre en appelle aux figures des sorcières et des oracles pour nous éclairer d’une nouvelle lumière, prémonitoire et tragique, trouvant ici un écho saisissant avec les installations énigmatiques de Christian Boltanski ou Claire Tabouret.
