Playtime

C’est l’heure de jouer ! Dans un monde de plus en plus raisonnable, l’artiste urbain Seth nous invite à nous évader au pays de l’imaginaire. Playtime, sa troisième exposition à la galerie Itinerrance, en plus d’être une véritable ode à la créativité et au jeu, nous offre une bouffée d’air frais plus que bienvenue. Voyageant à travers le monde, Seth a été témoin de l'incroyable résilience des enfants, capables de s’inventer des mondes imaginaires pour s'échapper, et ce qu’ils vivent dans une école en zone de guerre en Ukraine ou dans une favela minée par la guerre des cartels.

Seth réinterprète ici certaines de ses créations peintes aux quatre coins du globe. De la tour de Babel au Petit prince, il se réapproprie avec tendresse les mythes et les contes qui structurent nos imaginaires, touchant du bout du doigt l’universalité de l’enfance. Les traits sont fins, les couleurs pastel douces, et le tout profondément réconfortant. Grâce à ses œuvres poétiques fourmillant de figures enfantines, l’artiste s’adresse de manière claire et efficace aux populations des quartiers où il intervient pour mieux les toucher. Une peinture urbaine engagée et attendrissante à découvrir en famille.
