Ukraine, vision(s) exhibition: Gaîté Lyrique addresses the war in a moving photo exhibition

6

Sad birthday this one. Two years after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Gaîté Lyrique inaugurates a moving exhibition during which French and Ukrainian photographers and writers combine their work, leading together the fight against the silence to which the conflict confronted. Structured around sixty photos, this project offers a moving dialogue between six Ukrainian authors, novelists and poets with war portraits by Chloé Sharrock, Zen Lefort and Michel Slomka. Without omitting certain macabre details, this exhibition courageously deals with a difficult subject while highlighting the faces of the resistance taking place.
