Insolite - BambinO, l'opéra pour nourrissons

La salle de concert du Lincoln Center à New York semble avoir trouvé la solution pour attirer le jeune public : du 30 avril au 5 mai 2018, le centre propose un otario gratuit pour les enfants de 6 à 18 mois.

Le principe ? Le Compositeur écossais Lliam Paterson a créé un air spécial chérubin d’environ 40 minutes, dont l’opéra sera mis en scène par Phelim Mc Dermott dans un décor représentant le Coney Island des années 60. Avec seulement deux chanteurs sur scène, accompagnés de deux musiciens multi-instrumentalistes, l’opéra comprendra des moments de silence afin de laisser le temps aux bébés de réagir. Les chercheurs de l’université new-yorkaise de Columbia pourront ainsi observer leurs réactions à la musique.

Cette idée vient en fait du Japon, où il a été observé que la musique classique contribuait à un endormissement paisible des nourrissons. Si la stimulation musicale semble positive pour les enfants, rien n’est encore prouvé scientifiquement, d’où la mise en place de cet opéra.

Les dix représentations seront gratuites et réservées aux enfants en bas âge, accompagnés d’un adulte.

Et en France ? L’opéra pour bébé sera également représenté au Centquatre à Paris du 13 au 20 avril 2018.
